Alcohol and Alcoholism Journal

The MCA co-owns and co-publishes the journal 'Alcohol & Alcoholism' with Oxford University Press. 

This is a leading academic journal in the alcohol field which publishes articles on biomedical, psychological and sociological aspects of alcoholism and alcohol research.

Alcohol & Alcoholism is the official journal of both the MCA and ESBRA. MCA and ESBRA Members receive a reduced subscription rate to the journal.  To receive this subsidised rate non members need to register and existing members would need to contact the MCA office to change their subscription type.

Quoted from the Alcohol and Alcoholism Oxford University Press website "Alcohol and Alcoholism publishes papers on biomedical, psychological and sociological aspects of alcoholism and alcohol research, provided that they make a new and significant contribution to knowledge in the field. Papers include new results obtained experimentally, descriptions of new experimental (including clinical) methods of importance to the field of alcohol research and treatment, or new interpretations of existing results. Theoretical contributions are considered equally with papers dealing with experimental work provided that such theoretical contribution are not of a largely speculative or philosophical nature."
