The Medical Council on Alcohol's AGM and seminar will take place at the Royal College of Physicians on November 26th 2009. 

The AGM in the morning will conclude with Professor Sir Michael Marmot giving the fourth Max Glatt Memorial Lecture on discussing some of the general epidemiological aspects involving alcohol. The seminar after lunch will concentrate on more specific issues concerning alcohol and cancer. Speakers will include:

Professor Graham Odgen, University of Dundee:	The Synergy between Alcohol & Smoking in the Development of Oral Cancer.
Dr Gillian Reeves, Reader in Epidemiology, Cancer Epidemiology Unit, University of Oxford:	Alcohol & Breast Cancer.

Dr Stephen Ryder, Consultant in Hepatology, Queens Health Centre, Nottingham:

Alcohol & Hepatitis C in Aetiology of Primary Liver Cancer
