Quoted from the Alcohol and Alcoholism Oxford University Press website "Alcohol and Alcoholism publishes papers on biomedical, psychological and sociological aspects of alcoholism and alcohol research, provided that they make a new and significant contribution to knowledge in the field. Papers include new results obtained experimentally, descriptions of new experimental (including clinical) methods of importance to the field of alcohol research and treatment, or new interpretations of existing results. Theoretical contributions are considered equally with papers dealing with experimental work provided that such theoretical contribution are not of a largely speculative or philosophical nature."

For those MCA members who are wanting to add the Journal to their MCA subscription for 2009 they will need to fill out the present MCA members form in order to request the Journal. Members will receive a backlog of all the Journals that have been published for 2009; this will include the special issue on the brain. The journal subscription has just introduced online access and is presently been organised for our Journal subscribers.

Those members of the MCA, who want to receive the online version of the journal only, please fill out the present MCA members request for Journal online form. This form will then need to be sent back to the MCA by post, email or fax.

The Alcohol and Alcoholism journal have gained some media coverage with some of the articles that have been published. These articles can be accessed for free on the link provided.
